Blue and gold macaw for sale. This is an aviary bird only and not suitable for a pet.
Dna'd female, not 100% sure on age but if I'm reading the ring number right then it could be a 02 bird, meaning it's 13 years old. Helping a friend to sell her as previous owner is now too ill to keep his birds. I am told she is a proven breeder but unfortunately since the loss of her mate and poor health of the previous owner, she has plucked her chest and back feathers quite badly. She's been in our care since May and is already showing signs of improvement. She is eating well and is now readily taking more fruit and veg. She is not tame but does say hello and has calmed down enormously from when she first arrived. She is moulting and so far is leaving her new feathers alone but is still bare on the majority of her front and back. She hasn't damaged her tail or wing feathers and can still fly fine.
She has definitely improved since being around our other birds but we feel that ideally she needs to be introduced to a new mate in a large outside flight.

Asking for $900 due to her feathering but will only sell to a good, knowledge, experienced home.
Can take to Stafford show on 11th October.
